Function of Capacitor in High Speed PCB Design(I)

The first part：capacitors are classified in the high-speed PCB design of circuits according to application,which can be classified into four categories:

Type I: ac coupled capacitors. It is mainly used for AC coupling of Ghz signal.

Type II: decoupling capacitors. It is mainly used to filter the power supply or ground noise of high speed circuit board.

Type III: capacitors used in active or passive RC filtering or frequency selection networks.

Type IV: capacitors used in analog integrators and sample-and-hold circuits.
