What determines the capacitance of ceramic capacitors

The main material of ceramic capacitor is ceramic chip, which is made by pressing and punching ceramic powder and sintering at high temperature. The appearance will not change with time, so the storage period is long-term. However, most of the ceramic capacitors are made of two kinds of ceramic media, which have ferroelectric characteristics and show a Curie temperature characteristic. Therefore, the ceramic capacitance has the aging attenuation phenomenon.

 

The capacitance is determined by the impedance when measuring the AC capacity. Generally, the AC capacity changes with the frequency, voltage and measurement method, but the change degree of different specifications of ceramic capacitors is different, unless the capacitance is required to be particularly accurate and the temperature characteristics are particularly stable.

 

Although the capacitance of ceramic capacitors will change under different conditions (such as frequency, temperature, voltage), except for high dielectric ceramic capacitors, the capacity of general capacitors is lower than the tolerance of capacitance with the change of application conditions. Capacitance is an important electrical parameter of capacitor. The size and tolerance of capacitance are stable with time, and the rule of product is found.
