The safety capacitor is one of a large number of electronic components used in electronic devices, and is widely used for blocking, coupling, bypassing, filtering, tuning circuits, energy conversion, and control circuits.
Capacitance, also known as "capacity," refers to the amount of charge stored at a given potential difference, denoted as C, and international unit as farad (F). Generally speaking, the charge will move in the electric field. When there is a medium between the conductors, it will hinder the movement of the charge and cause the charge to accumulate on the conductor, resulting in accumulation of the charge. The amount of stored charge is called capacitance.
In the switching power supply, the safety capacitor parameter quality is generally as large as possible. How to select it?
1. If you remove the fixed-frequency harmonics, use f = L/2π*C to calculate.
2. You can also learn from the CE certification of the switching power supply (the same or close to the power) and measure the filter inductance and safety parameters.
3. The operating frequency of the switching power supply is used to suppress the electromagnetic interference generated by the common mode and differential mode, and the common mode and differential mode suppression inductance parameters are used to calculate the parameters of the safety capacitance.
