It is connected between L or ground and N to ground, and filters the common mode signal of L to ground or N to ground. The Y capacitor is usually used symmetrically. The electromagnetic interference generated by the common mode and differential mode generated can be suppressed according to the operating frequency of the switching power supply, and the safety capacitance can be calculated by the common mode and differential mode suppression inductance parameters.

 

The quality of the safety capacitor parameter in the switching power supply is generally as large as possible. If the fixed frequency harmonic is removed, it can be calculated by f=L/2π*C.
