Improper selection of current in the range results in locations which are more likely DC maintenance and simple harmonic vibration part. If the original needed current value is larger than the current value allowed by the thin film capacitor, it will form the thin film capacitance heating effect.If capacitor operates in high temperature for a long term, this will greatly reduced the film capacitor service life . It can burst or even burn.

In the configuration test, it is allowed to measure the peak current of the actual requirement through an exclusive current probe or another method, and then to adjust the parameters of the capacitor. In the power degradation test, the temperature rise of the thin film capacitor can be measured, and the suitable selection of the film capacitor can be determined according to the temperature rise allowed parameter of the film capacitor

II. Improper wiring

The key to the improper connection of wire is in the application of multiple parallel circuits with thin film capacitors. Because of the connection method and different line spacing,  each parallel film capacitor shares different amount of current in the electronic circuit.

The causes is in multiple parallel film capacitors, temperature rise of capacitor is different. Temperature rise of part of the position of the film capacitor is too high, resulting in the destruction of the accident. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct appropriate wiring and connection to the parallel operation of the thin film capacitance and make it average as far as possible to enhance the service life of the film capacitor. 

III. Voltage beyond the specified range


Voltages beyond the specified range produced mostly in the part of simple harmonic vibration. The developer should make a preliminary plan according to the parameters of configuration such as power, input voltage, circuit topology, load permeability, Q factor of electronic circuit, etc.

After the prototype meets the requirements, investigate the parameters such as peak electric peak and series resonance on both sides of the film capacitor during the output power period. Further determine whether the model and parameters of the film capacitor are accurate.
