Preventive measures for Fault of Capacitor(I)

        (I)Strengthen inspection, check and maintenance.

        Shunt capacitors should be checked regularly, at least once every quarter, mainly to check whether there are dirts such as dust accumulation in the shell of capacitor, porcelain casing, installation support and so on, and carry out a serious cleaning.When inspecting, special attention should be payed to the connection between the points whether is firm or not , whether loose; whether the shell bulging, seepage (leakage) oil and so on. If the above phenomenon is found, the capacitor must be removed from operation and properly handled.

        (II)Control operation temperature. 

        In the normal environment, it is generally required that the hottest temperature of shunt capacitor shell should not be greater than 60 ℃, otherwise, the cause must be found out and treated.
