In our lives, we will encounter situations in which the electrical failure fails to start. In this case, we usually ask the maintenance personnel to find out the fault factor. In fact, we can also check it ourselves. The following editor will teach you how to detect CBB capacitor damage and cause the appliance to fail to start.

 

Taking a washing machine as an example, the starting power supply for an AC motor is generally a CBB60 capacitor, which is a polypropylene film capacitor, a motor running capacitor, which has a wide capacity and voltage range, a small size, a rated working life, and an excellent self-healing performance. Stable capacitance, suitable for electric motors, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, electric fans, ovens, etc.

 

Take cbb60 12uf 450v as an example. In the case of a multimeter:

1) Remove the capacitor first, touch the leads, and discharge the capacitor.

2) Using the x100 file, first connect the multimeter's test leads to the two leads of the capacitor, then swap the two leads of the capacitor, and then connect the multimeter's test leads to the two leads of the replaced capacitor.

3) Pay attention to the multimeter's response when the pen touches the capacitor to lead the line. The normal phenomenon is that, at the moment of contact, the pointer of the multimeter is placed at a certain angle and then restored to infinity. If this is not the case, the following situation occurs: 1 If the resistance value is zero, the capacitor breaks down. 2 If the infinity cannot be restored, the capacitor leaks. 3 If the multimeter pointer does not respond, the capacitor is internally broken.

In the absence of a multimeter: remove the CBB capacitor, then connect the power supply to both ends of the capacitor, wait 30 seconds ~ 60 seconds, then short-circuit the CBB capacitor, if there is a discharge, it means the capacitor is good. If there is no such phenomenon, the CBB capacitor can be said to be broken.
