The first thing to look at is the appearance of the thermistor. The thermistor must be clearly marked, the soldering piece or the lead is not rusted, the rotating shaft is flexible, the elastic is appropriate, the hand feel is smooth when rotating, and there is no mechanical noise and jitter.

Secondly, check the pins. Use your hand to gently shake the potentiometer pads or the thermistor pins. There should be no looseness. In addition, it can also be detected by a multimeter. The multimeter is electrically blocked to the appropriate range, and then we are ohmically zeroed, using two test leads (not positive or negative) to connect with the two ends of the resistor, so that the actual resistance can be measured. The test value is then checked against the nominal value of the resistor to determine if the potentiometer or the thermistor is intact. If the pointer of the multimeter is not moving, then the internal resistor is disconnected.

The center pin of the thermistor is connected to its internal active contact. We use the two test leads of the multimeter to connect the center pin and any other pins, and then slowly rotate the shank. The head pointer needs to move smoothly correspondingly. If the pointer jumps or falls, then the description can be The dynamic contact point and the resistor body are in poor contact. In case of failure, it is necessary to carry out maintenance in time to ensure that the problem is located. It must be replaced in time for replaceme.
