How to judge the quality of air conditioner capacitors

Capacitors are closely related to our lives, such as televisions, LED lights, switching power supplies and more. The air conditioner is the starting function of the external capacitor. If the capacitor is broken, the whole air conditioner will not be cooled. How do we judge the quality of a capacitor in daily maintenance?

The method to judge whether a capacitor is good or bad is as follows:

1. The most direct and simple method: connect directly with 220V AC, you can connect one pole first, and touch another capacitor foot with another power cord. If there is a noticeable little spark at the touch, it is certain that the capacitor is charged, which means that the capacitor is not broken.

2. Pointer type multimeter, you can also use the digital meter to measure the capacitance file. If you use a pointer multimeter, generally use the R × 1K file, and connect the test leads to the two poles of the capacitor. At this point the multimeter pointer will swing and slowly return to near zero or zero. Such a capacitor is good. The larger the capacity of the capacitor, the longer the charging time, and the slower the pointer swings in the 00 direction. If it is connected, the resistance of the pointer does not move and it does not move, it is definitely bad.

3. Digital multimeter detection. Check with a digital multimeter, and turn the digital multimeter to the appropriate resistance file. The red and black test leads respectively touch the two poles of the capacitor under test. At this time, the display value will gradually increase from 000 until the overflow symbol "1" is displayed. If 000 is always displayed, the capacitor is internally shorted. If the overflow is always displayed, it may be an open circuit between the internal poles of the capacitor, or the selected resistance file may not be suitable.
