Capacitors, often referred to simply as their ability to hold charge, are capacitors, denoted by the letter C.

Definition 1: Capacitor, as the name suggests, is a 'charged container', a device that holds a charge. English name: capital. Capacitors are one of the most widely used electronic components in electronic devices. They are widely used in the circuit for blocking, coupling, bypassing, filtering, tuning loops, energy conversion, and control.

Definition 2: A capacitor, which constitutes a capacitor between any two conductors (including wires) that are insulated from each other and are closely spaced apart.

Features:

1. It has charge and discharge characteristics and the ability to block the passage of DC current, allowing AC current to pass.

2. During the charging and discharging process, the charge on the two plates has a process of accumulation, that is, the voltage has a process of establishing, therefore, the voltage on the capacitor cannot be abruptly changed.

Charging of the capacitor: The two plates are respectively charged with an equal amount of different charges, and the absolute value of the charge of each plate is called the charge of the capacitor.

Discharge of the capacitor: The positive and negative charges of the two poles of the capacitor are neutralized by the wires. A short current is generated on the wire during discharge.
