1. Let's look at the appearance of the thermistor. The potentiometer or thermistor shall be clearly marked, the solder pad or pin shall not be rusted, the rotating shaft shall rotate flexibly and properly, the hand feel shall be smooth when rotating, and whether there is mechanical noise and jitter at the same time.

2. Use your hand to gently shake the solder pad of potentiometer or the pin of thermistor, there should be no looseness.

3. Shift the multimeter resistance to the appropriate range, and then we are conducting ohmic zero adjustment, and then use two probes (positive and negative) to connect with the pins at both ends of the resistor respectively, so that the actual resistance value can be measured. Check the test value and the nominal value of the resistor, so as to judge whether the potentiometer or thermistor is in good condition. If the pointer of the multimeter does not move, it indicates that the internal resistance body is disconnected.

4. The middle pin of potentiometer or thermistor is connected with its internal movable contact. We use two probes of the multimeter to connect the middle pin and any other pin respectively, and then slowly rotate the shaft handle. The pointer of the meter head needs to move smoothly and correspondingly. If the pointer jumps or falls, it means that the movable contact point and the resistance body are in contact with each other.
