Correct and safe use of film capacitors

Film capacitors use an organic film as the medium. When the voltage exceeds the rated voltage and rated current, a flame may be generated and the capacitor may be damaged. Therefore, please use it in the correct circuit.

1.Circuit design

Please confirm that the film capacitors are used only in the rated performance specifications. Please confirm whether the environment in which the capacitors are used meets the specifications.

2. Please select the corresponding capacitor for use according to the appropriate working conditions.

(1) Capacitors used for bridges, bypass circuits and antenna couplings to suppress noise, need to pass the overseas safety standards or the Electrical Appliances Safety Law of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry of Japan.

(2) The applied voltage of the film capacitor, including the peak value of the surge and ripple voltage (DC voltage + AC peak), must not exceed the rated voltage.

(3) Do not use the current that can be carried beyond the film capacitor and check the temperature around the capacitor. There are many factors that will affect the current change, which will cause the temperature of the capacitor to rise.

(4) Please do not charge and discharge the film capacitor quickly, which may cause the characteristics of the capacitor to deteriorate or be damaged.

installation:

(1) Please do not use any plug that exceeds the tension of the capacitor wire.

(2) Please confirm the environment of the capacitor to avoid contact with any other hot objects, high pressure and other parts.

(3) When carrying out the welding process, please strictly follow the specified welding conditions.

Emergencies: If the device is emitting smoke, sparks or unusual odors, turn off the power, unplug or otherwise turn off the device.

Storage and handling:

(1) It should be stored at -5 °C ~ +30 °C, the relative humidity is less than 75% and ensure that there is no sudden temperature change, avoid direct sunlight exposure and contact with corrosive gas environment.

(2) There should be no excessive vibration, collision, and impact from external forces.
