Most of the printing on the chip resistors identifies the resistance value. Although the printing rules of various manufacturers are not identical, most of them follow certain rules.

 

1. Identification of chip resistors

 

The chip resistor has the advantages of small size, light weight, high installation density, strong shock resistance, strong anti-interference ability, high frequency characteristics, etc. Guanfa technology chip resistors are widely used in electronic communication, automotive electronics, medical equipment, high-end audio. , instrumentation, etc.

 

The chip resistors can be divided into three types according to their shapes: rectangular, cylindrical and irregular. There are resistors, capacitors, inductors, transistors, and small integrated circuits, depending on the type.

 

2. Number on the chip resistor

 

The two digits are followed by a one-letter notation. The first two digits indicate the effective value of the resistance value, and the following letters indicate how many times the effective value should be multiplied by 10, in ohms.

 

Three-digit notation, the first two digits represent the significant digits of the resistance value, and the third digit represents the number of zeros after the significant digit. When the resistance value is less than 10 ohms, the position of the decimal point of the resistance value is represented by R in the code. This representation is usually used in the series of resistances where the resistance error is positive or negative.

 

Four-digit representation, the first three digits represent the effective number of the resistance value, and the fourth digit indicates the number of zeros should be added after the number of the calibration. When the resistance is less than 10 ohms, the code still uses R for resistance. The value of the decimal point position, this representation is usually used in the series of precision resistors with a resistance value error of plus or minus one percent.
