Capacitors with different dielectrics are very useful

With the development of science and technology and the discovery of new materials, in order to meet different usage needs, more high-quality and diversified capacitors are constantly emerging. The differences between capacitors are mainly due to different dielectrics, different performances, different capacities, and different structures. Uses are also different.

1 Different media

Dielectric is the substance between two plates of a capacitor. Most polar capacitors use electrolyte as the dielectric material. Generally, capacitors of the same volume have large polar capacitors. The polar capacitors produced by different electrolyte materials and processes also have different capacitances with the same volume. There are also many non-polar capacitor dielectric materials, most of which use metal oxide film, polyester, etc., due to the reversible or irreversible performance of the medium determines the use environment of polar and non-polar capacitors.

2 Different performance

Performance is the requirement for use, and demand escalation is the requirement for use. For example, metal oxide film capacitors can be filtered in the power supply part of the TV, but if the capacitor capacity and voltage resistance required by the filter are reached, the area occupied by the metal oxide film capacitor is large, and the TV will also be bulky. Too large, so only polarized capacitors can be used for filtering. The positive electrode must be connected to the high potential terminal and the negative electrode must be connected to the low potential terminal. Zh

3 different structures

In principle, regardless of the discharge, any shape of capacitors required for the use environment can be used. Commonly used ceramic capacitors are round, film capacitors are flat and square, monolithic capacitors are round, etc. Of course, there are also invisible. Here, invisible refers to distributed capacitors. For distributed capacitors in high-frequency and intermediate-frequency devices It must not be ignored.

4 Use environment and purpose

Because of the relationship between its internal materials and structure, polar capacitors (such as aluminum electrolytics) can be very large, but their high-frequency characteristics are not good, so they are suitable for power filter applications. Non-polar capacitors are small in size and good in high-frequency characteristics, but they are not suitable for large-capacity capacitors, such as ceramic capacitors, monolithic capacitors, and CBB capacitors. Ceramic capacitors are generally used in high-frequency filtering and oscillator circuits . Ceramic capacitor is a capacitor that uses ceramic material as a meson and burns a silver layer on the surface as an electrode. Magnetic capacitors have stable performance, low losses, and low leakage current, which makes them suitable for high-frequency and high-voltage applications.
