Capacitor divider circuit:
1. Typical capacitance divider circuit
The resistor can constitute a voltage dividing circuit, and the capacitor can also constitute a voltage dividing circuit. For AC power, capacitors can be used for voltage division, because the resistor divider circuit has a large loss on the AC signal, and the capacitor attenuates the signal amplitude while the AC signal loss is small. C1 and C2 in the circuit form a capacitor divider circuit.
For an input signal of a certain frequency, capacitors C1 and C2 each exhibit a capacitive reactance, and the two capacitive reactances constitute a partial voltage attenuation of the input signal, thereby reducing the amplitude of the output signal.
2. Analysis of capacitor voltage divider circuit
1) Circuit characteristics
Capacitor voltage divider has the same circuit characteristics as resistor divider.
2) Main application
Used for partial pressure attenuation of AC signals
3) Only for AC circuits.
This circuit cannot be used for DC circuits due to the blocking characteristics of the capacitors.
