Film capacitors are widely used in home appliances such as air conditioners, fans, washing machines, and can also be used in the transportation industry. They are very important electronic components.

1. The role of film capacitors

When film capacitors are used in electronic circuits, film capacitors mainly serve as a current buffer, and can also bypass resonance to suppress electromagnetic interference. If the film capacitor is used in the bypass, it can be used to absorb current and reduce the DC impedance of the bus to avoid abnormal voltage fluctuations. If the film capacitor is used as a resonant converter, it can play a role in resonance.

2. Classification of film capacitors

There are three main ways to classify film capacitors. One is electrolyte classification. Film capacitors can be divided into three types, namely T-type, P-type and N-type. The second is classified according to the types of plastic films, which can be divided into four types: PS capacitors, PP capacitors, polyethylene capacitors and polycarbonate capacitors. Third, film capacitors can be classified into two types: DC capacitors and AC capacitors.

3. Advantages of film capacitors

As an excellent capacitor device, film capacitors have superior characteristics. For example, film capacitors have non-polarity, high insulation resistance, low dielectric loss and wide frequency response. Therefore, the use of film capacitors during signal cross-connection can ensure the effectiveness of signal transmission.
