Capacitor is an energy storage component with the characteristics of “straight through, low frequency and high frequency”. In order to recognize and identify the capacitors in different circuits, it has given many names according to its role in the line. These names and functions are helpful for reading the pictures. The following electrician's home introduces the meaning of some common names.
Filter capacitor
It is connected between the positive and negative terminals of the circuit to remove the useless alternating current in the circuit. Generally, large-capacity electrolytic capacitors are used, and other fixed capacitors are also used.
2. Decoupling capacitor
It is connected between the positive and negative terminals of the circuit to prevent parasitic oscillation caused by the positive feedback path formed by the internal resistance of the power supply.
3. Coupling capacitor
It is connected between the signal source and the signal processing circuit or the two-stage amplifier to block the direct current and let the alternating current or the pulsating signal pass, so that the believed DC operating point of the amplifier does not affect each other.
4. Bypass capacitor
Connected to the AC or pulse signal in the AC/DC signal at both ends of the resistor or directly connected to the shared telecommunications to prevent the AC component from generating a voltage drop when passing through the resistor.
5. Neutralization capacitor
Connected between the base of the triode and the collector to overcome the self-oscillation caused by the inter-electrode capacitance of the triode.
6. Slot capacitor (tuning capacitor)
a capacitor connected to the resonant circuit or the coil of the oscillating circuit.
7. Pad capacitor
In the circuit is able to reduce the frequency range of the oscillating signal, and significantly increase the capacitance of the low frequency end oscillation frequency, it is in series with the main circuit of the tank.
8. Compensation capacitor
In the oscillating circuit, a capacitor that can widen the frequency range of the oscillating signal, which acts in parallel with the main capacitor to assist.
9. Reverse capacitance
Connected between the collector and the emitter of the row output tube to generate a capacitance for the line scan sawtooth wave reversal.
10. Bootstrap boost capacitor
Use its energy storage to boost the circuit from a certain potential, so that its potential value is higher than the power supply voltage for this point.
11. "S" correction capacitor
Connected in series with the deflection coil circuit to correct the distortion of both sides.
12. Stabilized capacitor
In an oscillating circuit, a capacitor used to stabilize the oscillation frequency.
13. Timing capacitor
In the RC timing circuit, the resistor R is connected in series to determine the capacitance of the length of time.
14. Buck current limiting capacitor
It is connected in series in the AC circuit for it to divide and limit the capacitive reactance of the AC.
