How to judge the capacitor is good or bad?

Method One: The most direct and simple method

With 220V AC directly connected, you can first connect one pole, touch another capacitor pin with another power cord. If there is a noticeable small spark when touching, it is certain that the capacitor is charged, that is, the capacitor is not bad.

Method two: Analog multimeter, digital capacitance meter can also be used.

If using an analog multimeter, generally use R×1K files, connect the two pens to the two poles of the capacitor. At this point, the multimeter pointer will swing and then slowly return to zero or near zero. Such a capacitor is good. The larger the capacity of the capacitor, the longer the charging time, and the slower the hand swings in the 00 direction. If it is connected, the resistance value of the pointer does not move very little and it is definitely bad.

Method 3: Digital Multimeter Testing

With a digital multimeter check, the digital multimeter is set to the appropriate resistance level, and the red and black meter pens touch the two poles of the measured capacitor, respectively. At this time, the display value will gradually increase from 000 until the overflow symbol "1" is displayed. If 000 is always displayed, the capacitor is internally short-circuited. If the overflow is always displayed, it may be an open circuit between the internal poles of the capacitor, or the selected resistor may not be suitable.
