Compressor capacitors are essential in many household appliances. For example, air conditioners also have compressor capacitors, but their selection and inspection must be mastered and understood. After all, for compressor capacitors, their quality affects the normal operation of the equipment. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to understanding and mastering the relevant common sense.

When checking the compressor capacitor, you first need to check the appearance.Compressor capacitors are divided into two types: dry type and oil-immersed type. Dry type capacitors are mostly packaged in plastic shells, while oil-immersed capacitors are packaged in metal shells. Therefore, if the shell is found to be deformed, convex, cracked, or leaking, it means that the capacitor is damaged and cannot be used anymore. When replacing capacitors, use the original specifications and models as much as possible and do not replace them arbitrarily.

The second step is to check the capacity of the capacitor.Relatively speaking, the capacitor capacity will decay due to the harsh use environment and over time. Generally, if the attenuation is greater than 20%, it will cause starting difficulties, large starting currents, and long starting times.Especially when the power supply voltage is lower than 20%, startup tripping and overcurrent protection will occur, which may burn out the compressor. Therefore, when starting is difficult, starting time is too long, instantaneous tripping and other phenomena occur, the capacitor must be checked first.
