What's the Use of y Capacitors?(II)

The main function of y capacitor is to suppress EMI conduction interference. It is used to eliminate the common mode interference and the interference of the high frequency part above 1M. It is also the capacitor that straddles two lines of power line and the ground separately, usually appears in pairs. Y-capacitor grounding plays a filtering role. The limiting capacitance value based on leakage current should not be too large. In particular, it is pointed out that the y capacitor, as a safe capacitor, must be certified by the safety inspection organization. Most of the appearance is blue, generally marked with safety certification logo (such as UL, VDE, ENEC, etc.) and pressure AC300V or AC400V words. However, its real DC withstand voltage is as high as 4000V. Y capacitors shall not be substituted at will with nominal voltage-resistant AC250V or ordinary capacitors of the like.

The capacitor connected between fire line and ground wire and between zero line and ground wire is called y capacitor which belongs to the series of Anchorage capacitors. The main function of y capacitor is to suppress EMI conduction interference and to eliminate common-mode interference.
