Development Trend of capacitor applications (I)
Capacitor is one of the basic components of electronic circuits, which has important and wide applications.
According to classification, most capacitors are usually divided into four types: AC coupling, including bypass (AC DC);
Decoupling (filtering alternating signals or filtering high frequency signals superimposed on DC signals or filtering low frequency components in power supply reference power supply and signal circuits);
Active or passive filter or frequency selective networks;
Analog integrator or sampling maintenance circuit (capture and storage charge).
Now high speed high density has become one of the important trends of electronic products.
Compared with traditional PCB design high speed high density PCB design faces many new challenges and puts forward many new requirements for capacitor used many traditional capacitors cannot be used for high speed high density PCB.
Combining with the basic characteristics of high speed high density PCB, this paper analyzes the main parasitic parameters and influences of capacitors in high frequency applications, and points out some traditional cognition or practices that need correction or abandonment.
This paper summarizes basic characteristics of capacitors suitable for high speed high density PCB and introduces some new developments of capacitors suitable for high speed high density PCB capacitors.
