Use of ceramic capacitors

The use of ceramic capacitors can be classified into the following categories according to the characteristics of capacitors.

1) Instantaneous high current: Because the short-circuit current of the capacitor is very large, it has the following applications: a) EDM machine b) Capacitive spot welding machine c) Flash power supply, such as car direction light, camera flash d) The magnetic motor has a magnetic current supply part, and its function is to make the permanent magnet magnetic.

2) Producing DC high voltage: Charging a multi-stage capacitor can generate a high DC, which can be pressurized up to a high voltage. For integration and memory: the computer's memory loop or comparison loop, commonly used RC to form a loop to accumulate pulse waves to some output potential. This capacitor has a high insulation resistance and a long time constant.

3) Surge voltage is absorbed: When the surge voltage occurs, the voltage must exceed the voltage across the capacitor, so the voltage is absorbed by the capacitor and acts as a balance. When the voltage is over, the capacitor slowly discharges the current to prevent the circuit from being damaged by the voltage and complete the protection function.

4) Eliminate sparks: Add capacitors to the ends of the switch or relay contacts. Once the switch or relay is activated and the spark occurs, the spark is absorbed by the capacitor, thus protecting the relay and the switch.
