1.CB International Safety of Product Safety

The CB system is a set of global mutual recognition system for electronic products established by IECEE (International Electrotechnical Commission's IEC System Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrical Equipment), which is used by all member states participating in the CB system. Mutual recognition of test results to obtain national certification or approval, thereby promoting international trade.

At present, the CB system covers electronic game devices, test equipment, power cables, capacitors and components, lighting, household appliances, protective devices, transformers, office and IT equipment, and medical equipment. There are 14 categories of 180 products.

2. Advantages of CB certification

Most of the electrical and electronic products need to meet different regulations when entering countries. In the past, obtaining product safety certification from various countries is a difficult and time-consuming and costly process. But now relying on the CB system, manufacturers can get more than 50 at a time. National safety certification.

Upon successful completion of the test, the product will be issued a CB test certificate and the corresponding CB test report. The certificate and report together form an international passport, and the manufacturer can apply for any national certification in any country or region participating in the CB system. National certification of the organization, usually no additional testing is required.

3. Current member of the CB system

Up to now, 66 certification bodies and their more than 270 CB laboratories in 51 countries have participated in this mutual system. The member countries participating in the CB system include all major exporters of Chinese mechanical and electrical products.

Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, United Kingdom, Greece, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Turkey, Ukraine, United States, Yugoslavia, Switzerland, Malaysia, Sweden, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bulgaria, Uruguay,

4. Advantages of the CB system include:

Fast: Accelerate the certification of countries to make products enter the market faster

Efficiency: CB system processing applications are preferred when possible

Savings: saving work, saving test procedures, saving samples

Convenience: one-stop local testing can enter the international market

Battery CB certification standards:

IEC62133 (cell, battery)

IEC60950 (battery)

Issuing agency: TUV Rheinland, Korea KTC

Series application rules:

PACK cannot be applied for by series

CELL can be applied in series, but each model must be tested, and the test fee is charged. The same series of different models can be placed in a certificate.

Other matters needing attention:

CB to CB to recognize the national standard deviation of the test can be transferred, which goes to Japan, South Korea, France, Switzerland, four countries need to increase the strong internal circuit short-circuit test

Battery CB certification detection range

Various lead-acid batteries (such as lead-acid batteries for automotive start-up, fixed lead-acid batteries, small valve-controlled seals, etc.) Various power secondary batteries (such as batteries for power vehicles, batteries for electric road vehicles, batteries for power tools) , hybrid car battery, etc.)

Various mobile phone batteries (such as lithium ion batteries, lithium polymer batteries, nickel hydrogen batteries, etc.)

Various small secondary batteries (such as laptop batteries, digital camera batteries, camera batteries, various cylindrical batteries, wireless communication batteries, portable DVD batteries, CD and MP3 player batteries, etc.)

Various primary batteries (such as alkaline zinc-manganese batteries, lithium-manganese batteries, etc.)

Battery CB Certification Test Project

1. Discharge performance (such as 20 ° C discharge performance, high and low temperature discharge performance)

2. Charge retention

3. Cycle life

4. Environmental adaptability test (such as temperature cycle, constant damp heat, vibration, collision, free fall)

5. High simulation test

6. Electrostatic discharge (ESD) test

7. Safety performance test (such as overcharge protection, over discharge protection, short circuit protection performance)

8. Battery safety requirements (such as heavy impact, thermal shock, overcharge, overdischarge, high current discharge, short circuit, extrusion, forced discharge)

Battery CB test requirements

1. Continuous low-rate charging: charge for 28 days according to the manufacturer's instructions

Accept the criteria: no fire, no explosion, no leakage.

2. Vibration: Simulate vibration caused by transportation

Accept the criteria: no fire, no explosion, no leakage.

3. Moulded case stress at high ambient temperature: When the battery is used at high ambient temperature, it cannot expose internal components.

Acceptance criteria: No physical distortion of the battery case resulting in exposure of internal components.

4. Temperature cycling: batteries can be exposed to high temperatures and low temperatures without igniting or exploding.

Acceptance criteria: No fire, no explosion, no leakage.

5. Incorrect installation of a cell (nickel systems only): incorrect installation method when simulating use

Acceptance criteria: No fire, no explosion.

6. External short circuit: short circuit positive and negative can not catch fire or explode

7. Free fall: The battery drops from a height of 1m to the floor and cannot catch fire or explode.

Acceptance criteria: No fire, no explosion.

8. Mechanical shock (crash hazard): simulates shocks encountered during transportation or handling, cannot catch fire or explode, or leaks

Acceptance criteria: No fire, no explosion, no leakage.

9. Thermal abuse: When the battery does not catch fire or explode at a very high temperature (130 degrees)

Acceptance criteria: No fire, no explosion.

10. Crushing of cells: Give a 13KN force to squeeze the battery, not to catch fire or explode

Acceptance criteria: No fire, no explosion.

11. Low pressure: simulates the low air pressure (11.6Kp) encountered during air transportation, can not catch fire or explode

Acceptance criteria: No fire, no explosion, no leakage.

12. Overcharge for nickel systems: charging at 250 times rated current to 250% of rated capacity

Acceptance criteria: No fire, no explosion.

13. Overcharge for lithium systems: charging for a longer period of time according to the manufacturer's given charging method, not catching fire or exploding

Acceptance criteria: No fire, no explosion.

14. Forced discharge: A single cell in an appliance containing multiple cells is subject to polarity reversal and cannot be ignited or exploded.

Acceptance criteria: No fire, no explosion.

15. Cell protection against a high charging rate (lithium systems only): The battery in the battery pack in which the charger fails or the battery cells are connected in parallel is subjected to excessive charging current and cannot be ignited or exploded.
