General steps for electronic circuit debugging

Traditional Chinese medicine practitioners pay attention to "looking, smelling, asking, cutting", in fact, the same is true for debugging circuits.

 

First of all, "looking", that is, observing the welding of the circuit board, mature electronic products are generally welded problems;

 

The second "smell", huh, huh, this is not to say that the board is smelled first, but that after listening to the power board, whether the board is abnormal or not, it should not be called, the call is not called; the third "question", If it is your first time debugging, what is the power supply that you are not designing yourself? Has anyone else adjusted? What's the problem? The fourth "cut", the components are not welded, the chip is soldered correctly, is it difficult to observe the solder joints? You can find a lot of problems by doing these steps before debugging.

 

According to the complexity of the electronic circuit, debugging can be carried out step by step: for a simpler system, the debugging steps are: power supply debugging → single board debugging → joint debugging. For more complex systems, the debugging steps are: power supply debugging → single board debugging → extension debugging → host debugging → joint debugging. From this, three points can be clarified: (1) Whether simple or complex, debugging is started from the power supply; (2) The debugging method is generally the whole (unit circuit) after the whole, first static and dynamic; (3) Generally, it is subject to the repeated process of measurement → adjustment → re-measurement → re-adjustment; for complex electronic systems, debugging is also a process of “system integration”.

 

On the basis of the completion of the unit circuit debugging, system joint debugging can be performed. For example, the data acquisition system and the control system are generally composed of an analog circuit, a digital circuit, and a microprocessor circuit. When debugging, the three parts of the circuit are often separately debugged, and after reaching the design specifications respectively, the interface circuit is added for joint debugging. The joint adjustment is to test and adjust the performance indicators of the total circuit. If the design requirements are not met, the cause should be carefully analyzed to find out the corresponding unit for adjustment. It is not excluded to adjust the parameters of multiple units or adjust multiple times, and even have the possibility of correcting the scheme.
