The development of science and technology and the discovery of new materials, due to different use requirements, high quality, diverse capacitors continue to emerge. The difference between capacitors is mainly: different media, different performance, different capacities, different structures, different environments and uses.

 

Different media

The medium is the substance between the two plates of the capacitor. Most of the polar capacitors use electrolyte as the dielectric material. Usually, the capacitance of the same volume has a large capacitance capacity, and different electrolyte materials and processes have different polar capacitors and the same volume capacity. There are also many non-polar capacitor dielectric materials, most of which use metallized film, polyester, etc., due to the reversible or irreversible performance of the medium determines the environment with polar and non-polar capacitors.

 

 

2. Different performance

Performance is the requirement of use, and demand is the requirement of use. For example, metallized film capacitors can be filtered in the power supply part of the TV set, but if the capacitor capacity and withstand voltage required for filtering are to be achieved, then the metallized film capacitors occupy a large place, and the TV will be too large. Therefore, as a filter, only a polar capacitor can be used, the positive pole must be connected to the high potential end, and the negative pole must be connected to the low potential end.

 

3. Different structure

In principle, in the case of disregarding the discharge, it is possible to use a capacitor of any shape in the environment. The commonly used ceramic capacitors are round, the film capacitors are flat and square, the monolithic ceramic capacitors are round, etc., of course, there are invisible, here the invisible refers to the distributed capacitance, for distributed capacitance in high frequency and intermediate frequency devices. It must not be ignored.

 

4. Use environment and use

Because of its internal material and structure, the capacity of polar capacitors (such as aluminum electrolysis) can be made very large, but its high frequency characteristics are not good, so it is suitable for power supply filtering and other occasions. The non-polar capacitor has small volume and good high-frequency characteristics, but it is not suitable for large capacity. It is like ceramic capacitors, monolithic ceramic capacitors, CBB capacitors, etc. Ceramic capacitors are generally used in high-frequency filtering and oscillating circuits. The ceramic capacitors are capacitors in which a ceramic material is used as a meson and a silver layer is burned on the surface as an electrode. Magnetic capacitors have stable performance, low loss and low leakage, which are suitable for high frequency and high voltage circuits.
