What are the main characteristic parameters of multi-layer ceramic capacitors? (I)

What are the main characteristic parameters of chip capacitors? They include capacity and error, rated operating voltage, temperature coefficient, insulation resistance, loss and frequency characteristics.

 

1.Capacity and error: maximum allowable deviation of actual capacitance and nominal capacitance. The general capacity errors are: J grade + 5%, K grade + 10%, M grade + 20%.

 

The allowable error of precision capacitors is small, and the error of electrolytic capacitors is large. They adopt different error levels.

 

Commonly used capacitors are of the same accuracy and resistance. It is expressed in letters: D - + 0.5%; F - + 1%; G - 2%; J - + 5%; K - - + 10%; M - + 20%.

 

2.Rated working voltage: capacitors in the circuit can be stable and reliable for a long time, and the maximum DC voltage to withstand is also known as withstand voltage. For devices with the same structure, medium and capacity, the higher the withstand voltage, the larger the volume.

 

3.Temperature coefficient: the relative change of capacitance at a temperature range of 1 C in a certain temperature range. The smaller the temperature coefficient, the better.
