The research team has pioneered the development of a new concept, high-performance all-solid-state flexible planar lithium-ion micro-capacitor without metal current collectors and conventional separators. The micro capacitor uses a highly conductive graphene as a current collector, a high voltage ion gel as an electrolyte, a lithium titanate anode as a negative electrode, and an activated graphene as a positive electrode to construct a high-ionic electron-conducting plane interdigitated microelectrode. All-solid-state lithium-ion micro-capacitors are assembled on one substrate.

 

The lithium ion microcapsules have an energy density as high as 53.5 mWh/cm3, which is higher than the currently reported lithium thin-film batteries and micro-super capacitors. At the same time, the lithium ion microcapsule has excellent cycle stability, the capacitance retention rate is 98.9% after 6000 cycles; its high temperature electrochemical stability can work stably under the condition of 80°C; its excellent mechanical flexibility in various bending and There is no attenuation of performance in the twisted state. In addition, the lithium-ion micro-capacitors exhibit good modular integration capabilities, eliminating the need for metal connections and effectively regulating output voltage and capacity.
