Can the ceramic capacitor be used as a y-shaped safety capacitor?

Ordinary ceramic capacitors are 1.5 times rated voltage +500V according to the national standard test, and the rated voltage is usually 1000V, 2000V, which can be 1KV-12KV. The rated voltage of the y-shaped safety capacitor is 400V and 300V, and the test withstand voltage needs to reach 4000VA and 2600VAC.

Y2 capacitor is a safety grade, and ordinary ceramic capacitors do not have this grade.

If it is not connected to the casing, as long as the withstand voltage and surge are satisfied, and the safety regulations are allowed, the x-type safety capacitor can be used as the y-type safety capacitor. Or replace the y-shaped safety capacitor with a y-shaped safety capacitor. For example, a y1 capacitor can be replaced by two y2 capacitors. Other ceramic capacitors are not a substitute for y-shaped safety capacitors.
